    Finally a sushi spot in Jersey with actual quality fish that isn't completely or overly Americanized! Also the owners are very attentive and sweet. Not sure why someone reviewed stating that the "sashimi without sauce was flavorless" - This is actually a good sign! FRESH raw fish, especially tuna, should be very mild in flavor and NOT have any strong flavor or odor! Anyhow, that's what the soy sauce and wasabi are for if you want a kick right? Americans are so used to these heavy sauces mixed with mayo on their "sushi" that having the real thing seems underwhelming and "bland". So if you actually appreciate quality fish in Jersey, I would recommend this place. Otherwise, head over to those deep fried sushi drenched in spicy mayo joints in Cresskill.

    I love this place! The owner is so friendly. I love how he sells freshly made juices and sushi! The roll I had was huge. I can't remember the exact name but it had spicy tuna on top and shrimp tempura inside. It was a struggle to finish but it was so good so I pushed through haha. I will definitely come back!!

    Cactus has amazing sushi. Sam the chef and owner is a very talented sushi chef and nice man.

    The other reviews don't lie. The sushi at Cactus is wonderful and Chef Sam is lovely.

    I stopped in by myself last Friday for lunch and ate at the counter. I had never been here before and I thought there would at least be a few tables. No, this place is absolutely tiny so it's basically 100% take out.

    Cash only. I took away 1 star because cash only places irritate me. It's 2018 and I never ever have cash in my wallet.

    What I ate: Marta Roll (obsessed) which is eel/avo inside and spicy tuna and scallion on top and Salmon Yaki roll which is a hot roll with California inside and cooked salmon on top with sauces. I'm usually not one for warm rolls but this was good, I would get it again.

    Already itching to come back to try more items.

    Sam is the sweetest and the sushi is the best. The sushi is always so fresh! Keep in mind it's cash only
